How was the film quality / transfer quality on this? However, it's better than missing that part of the film.Īgain, if *anyone* knows of someone who still has this on their DVR, please let me know. :( It definitely won't match the "look" of the Saga as they're clearly two different sources.
Now I have to start re-building that segment of the first film. Other than compression, there should be no quality jump between 1080i and 1080p once 3:2 pulldown has been removed.īut then DFNYC will already know this :-) It jumps immediately to an orange juice commercial. If there is something amusing about this, it's this: the digital corruption happened right when Vito is in the garden and about to die. Unfortunately, my DVR arbitrarily deleted my back-up copy so it's my only option.unless someone else has the hauppauge and can do it.

Will you need to degrade the resolution of the parts from the Blu-Ray to match the HDTV capture better?
